INTRODUCTION

DNS or Domain Name System is a hierarchical distributed naming system of resources on a computer networks. It Is object is to translate alpha numerical domain names into logical IP addresses that allows computers to commuicate.


DNS Server Installation
Installation of a DNS server on a server that runs Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2 and Server 2012 operating systems, could be done by going to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Server Manager.
To install DNS server simply following these steps..

STEP 1

1. Open The Server Manager window and click on Roles > Add Roles link, and Continue with the next

STEP 2

 2. In the Select Server Roles, select DNS server, and then click Next



STEP 3

 3. Click Next 


STEP 4

4. Verify installation Selections and click to Install..


STEP 5

5. When finished, simply Click to close
